Döttingen is an «energy town» («Energiestadt»). And there’s a new service under that label: you can now rent an e-car at the station by app.
Since Tuesday, there has been an electric car available for public use at the «blue zone» parking spaces where Tanneckstrasse and Hauptstrasse split (beside the Raiffeisenbank bank). You can rent the VW using the Swiss E-Car app. One hour costs eight francs and one day 65 francs, with electricity and unlimited kilometrage included. The car can be rented for a maximum of six days in a row.
