E-Cargovia, which was focused on Aargau, received many enquiries from neighbouring cantons. It was therefore decided to expand e-carsharing across cantonal boundaries and rename the service «Swiss E-Car».

Swiss E-Car is the perfect individual and environmentally friendly mobility solution. The carsharing service – which largely operates with a fully electric vehicle pool – has had a successful year. More than 1400 users now benefit from this attractive and accessible mobility option. Twenty-two vehicles are available to the public at a wide range of different sites, and more e-cars are coming in early 2022.

Close collaboration with regional partners

Swiss E-Car is operated by Eniwa AG and AEW Energie AG. The two energy suppliers together with their local partners are committed to green, zero-emission e-carsharing. Local partners include regional energy suppliers, local authorities and businesses from a range of sectors. The partners play an active role in sustainable mobility without themselves becoming mobility providers.

Swiss E-Car gives you all the benefits of your own vehicle without the worries and responsibilities. Once you have registered, you can use the app to reserve, unlock and start your chosen vehicle. There are no subscription costs and no basic fees.
All costs are included in the flat rate of 8 francs per hour and 65 francs per day.
